Taste Sensation

We were delighted Boadicea featured in the Colchester Gazette’s Taste magazine this month! With the Gazette being one of Colchester’s most prominent sources for local news in Essex, it was an absolute pleasure to host the features reporter, Lauren, and have a chat about the venue itself and the journey we took to open our bar and restaurant down by Colchester’s River Colne.

Our Managing Director, Josh Campbell-Broome, was excited to meet with Lauren and give her a full tour of our Hythe bar and restaurant, showcasing the facilities and the rustic décor that defines our bar and dining areas.

The interview included some time with Steve Angier, our head chef, discussing what’s on our Spring Menu. Josh explained the pride both he and Steve take in perfecting the menus to provide a diverse choice and the passion that drives them to source ingredients locally wherever possible. All of this serves to deliver the best possible dining experience to Boadicea’s customers. Steve even rustled up some dessert petits fours for the occasion sampling mini versions of our Boadicea brownie and lemon meringue pie, which are both winners with our customers.

Of course, we couldn’t resist highlighting how popular our cocktails are, too…
